Kjaer Weis’ products are no strangers to my favourites list; I’ve fallen in love with each swipe of a KW compact. The heavy-duty packaging is not only luxurious (made in Italy and out of white bronze metal), but also refillable, making this every sustainable beauty’s dream cosmetics brand. Gone are the days of plastic throwaway cases … that don’t protect your cosmetics that well, might I add (have you ever dropped your eye shadow on a tile floor?).
Kjaer Weis Cream Blush Review
As a fair skinned girl, I have a hard time finding the right colours for my skin tone. “Right” meaning not orange or too red when it comes to blushers. In the past, the natural beauty space has lacked in colour selection, but that is a long time ago now. Kjaer Weis has created a beautiful and versatile colour palette when it comes to her cream blush. Her shades “Embrace” and “Happy” are perfect for many skin tones. If you’re curious about her other colour selections, head over here for a description of each (I can only speak to these colours, from what I’ve tried).
Before application, it is essential to moisturize (I use a facial oil) and put on your sunscreen. Having a dewy face before application will aid in the blending and the application of this cream blush – especially in colder climates – aka, Norway.
Application & Texture
The application of this cream blush can be with your hands or with the Kjaer Weis Blush Brush. I love this brush, as it has a shortened handle, which makes for good control of colour distribution and covering the cheeks. Kjaer Weis’ buttery soft Cream Blush is perfectly used with the soft (non-animal derived – yay!) synthetic fibres, that have been dermatologically tested. The brush gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types.
I also often use a “beauty blender” after I’ve applied product using a brush, for the perfect natural finish.
One thing that I will note is that in colder climates, you cannot omit this blending step, as the cream can be a bit “harder” in consistency which makes the applied product naturally thicker. In warmer climates (think tropical and sun soaked destinations, or July in Norway) the skin will look dewy right from the application start – no surprise with the product’s smooth and creamy texture – and throughout the day, the blush will “melt” into your skin as your body temperature warms the product for a dewy look.
Ingredients are super pure with nothing harmful, including sweet almond oil, castor oil and beeswax, as well as rose hip oil and vanilla fruit extract. You can shop the product and refillables here at PureYou.no.
